Setting up a Mix & Match deal

A Mix & Match is a multi-buy offer — “any 3 for £1.20”, “2 for £1.50”. You set a quantity and a fixed price, then list the products the offer applies to. This guide follows the same shape as the ones already on the till (for example PLANTAIN GREEN 1KG 3 for £1.20 or 7 DAYS 2 for £1.50). In each picture the glowing ring and the moving pointer show what to touch.

Two rules before you start

1. Look for an existing deal first — don’t make a second one for the same offer. 2. Give it a clear name: the name is what staff (and often the customer) read, so write it plainly, e.g. Avocado 3 for £1, not deal7.

1

Open Mix & Match

From the till’s Management screen (Functions → Home Mode → Management), press the Mix & Match tile.

2

Search first — add only if it isn’t there

You’re now on the list of all Mix & Match deals. Type in the Search box first to check the offer doesn’t already exist. You can search by the deal’s name, a product name, or a barcode — so you can quickly see if the item is already in a deal. Two deals for the same thing cause confusion and wrong prices. Only if nothing matches, press → Create at the bottom to make a new one.

3

Fill in the deal

Give the deal its name, quantity and price. For “3 for £1.20” you set Quantity = 3 and Amount = 1.20, with Operation left on FIXED_PRICE.

Set the Name, Quantity (how many), keep FIXED_PRICE, and the Amount (the price for that many).
  • Name — clear and readable, because staff and often the shopper see it. Match the offer, e.g. Avocado 3 for £1.
  • Quantity — how many the customer must buy (the N in “N for £…”). For “3 for”, type 3.
  • Operation — leave on FIXED_PRICE for a set price for the quantity.
  • Amount — the total price for that quantity (the £ figure). For “3 for £1.20”, type 1.20.
  • Days (optional) — tick Monday…Sunday, or set Start/End dates, to limit the offer to certain days.

Add the products the offer applies to

In the Product List at the bottom, add each product that counts towards the deal — type or scan its Barcode, or pick it under Submenu Product. Each one you add appears in the table below.

Add every qualifying product here — they all share this one deal.
This is the important bit: one deal = one shared group

The offer applies across all the products inside the same Mix & Match. So if you want “any 3 for £1.20” to work on a mix of items (say green and ripe plantain together), put all of them in the same deal — the customer can then combine any 3 of them. If you do not want them mixed — e.g. 3 of the same product only — give each product its own Mix & Match and don’t add the others. Adding two products to one deal means the till will let the shopper reach the quantity using either one.

Save

Press the green Save button (bottom-left). The deal goes live and starts applying at the till. (When you open an existing deal a red Delete button also shows — use it only to remove that offer.)

Once saved, the deal applies automatically when a customer buys the qualifying quantity — nothing else to switch on. Give it a few seconds, or press the R (refresh) button top-right to update the till immediately.
